Vincent Hamelink, CFA

Chief Executive Officer, Member of the Group Strategic and Executive Committees

Vincent Hamelink is Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Management of Candriam. Candriam is a €139 bn European multi-specialist asset manager and a recognized leader in Sustainable Investing since 1996.  

During his 30-year career at Candriam, Vincent held leadership roles across Candriam’s Client Relations & Solutions and Investment Management business. Before becoming CEO, he was Chief Investment Officer at Candriam since 2011. In this role he has been instrumental in the company’s growth, developing an investment platform that has consistently delivered long-term returns to investors and accelerating demand for the Candriam brand. He has been appointed member of the Group Strategic Committee since 2016.  

In 1994, Vincent joined BNP Paribas (which became Cordius Asset Management in 1996) as a Financial Analyst and became a Fund Manager in 1995. He was appointed Head of Fixed Income in 1997. On Cordius’ merger into Candriam in 2001 he became Global Head of Fixed Income and a Member of Candriam Luxembourg’s Management Committee. In 2009 he was appointed as a Member of our Executive Committee responsible for Candriam's Client Relations & Solutions division. 

Vincent holds a Master’s degrees in Commercial, Fiscal and Financial Sciences, and has been a CFA Charterholder since 2001.
