The purpose of the norms-based analysis is to determine whether a company complies with the universal principles set forth in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
Any company which voluntarily complies with the UNGC undertakes to respect human rights, apply labour law standards, protect the environment and combat corruption. This additional analysis makes sure the companies comply with the principal international treaties and conventions.
