Senior Fund Manager – Emerging Markets Equity

Vivek Dhawan is a Senior Fund Manager within Candriam’s Emerging Markets Equity team, a position he has held since January 2026. Vivek joined Candriam in February 2021, acting as Client Portfolio Manager and Equity Analyst for the Emerging Markets Equity team. He became a Portfolio Manager in February 2022. 

Before joining Candriam, Vivek worked for a Belgian asset manager, Value Square, as an analyst, covering emerging markets and combining a fundamental bottom-up and sustainable investing approach. 

Vivek completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electromechanical Engineering Technology from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India, receiving First Class Honours. He completed his MBA degree at the Vlerick Business School Brussels, with great distinction in 2016. Vivek is a CFA and CMT charterholder.
