As a seasoned professional, Danièle Barthélemy has accrued a wealth of leadership experience in the financial industry with a proven track record in the asset management and insurance industry.
Danièle began her career at Bank Dewaay in 1989 where she had the opportunity to manage different asset classes and took on growing responsibilities in asset management, developing the bank’s institutional business.
In 2000, she moved to Belgian Insurance company Les AP insurance as Chief Investment Officer and member of the Executive Committee, in charge of the financial and accounting management of the company’s insurance portfolios, before joining Candriam over 20 years ago.
At Candriam Danièle was first responsible for the management of insurance portfolios and then moved on to take over the management of the firm’s institutional clients in 2009. Together with her team, she successfully grew Candriam’s institutional franchise by developing an extensive service thanks to her profound knowledge of the multiple requirements and regulatory environment of institutional clients. She joined Candriam’s Executive Committee in 2017.
Danièle holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences and International Relations from L’Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and a master’s in Applied Economic Sciences from l’Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL).
