Sara Torrecilla has been with Candriam’s Healthcare team since 2020, where she serves as a Senior Equity Analyst. She is responsible for the analysis of biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, contributing to the management of publicly listed healthcare equity strategies within the Global Thematic Equity platform.
Prior to joining Candriam, Sara worked as an Investment Analyst for the healthcare fund of M Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Merck KGaA, in Amsterdam. Earlier in her career, she was a Biomedical Scientist conducting research in the field of liver cancer at Hospital Clinic (Barcelona) and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York).
Sara holds a PhD in Medicine and Translational Research, awarded with cum laude distinction, and a Master of Science in Translational Medicine, both from the Universitat de Barcelona.
