Kristof Woutters, based in Brussels, is Global Head of Pension & Insurance Relations at Candriam. This business development role includes strategic investment advice, such as the design of client-tailored advanced investment solutions tailored to their respective regulatory frameworks (eg, integrated LDI solutions). With the evolution of client needs, Kristof brings his and Candriam’s sustainable investing skills to the client base, particularly on the implementation of the EU SFDR and Taxonomy Regulations. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in the investment management industry, he is a regular speaker on pension & insurance topics and an active member in industry associations.
Prior to joining Candriam in 2000, he worked as Senior Consultant at Pragma Consulting, specialising in asset management for pension funds. He contributed to the ‘Rebuilding Pensions’ report, sponsored and published by the European Commission, which became a major source of for the Commission’s first IORP Directive.
Kristof holds a master’s degree in commercial engineering from the University of Leuven (KUL, Belgium) and a master’s in economics from the University of Groningen (RUG, the Netherlands). He regularly competes in national and international sailing regattas.
