Chafic Jabbour has been leading Candriam’s MENA activity since October 2017, covering the Middle Eastern institutional marketplace out of Dubai, UAE. He coordinates the regional business development efforts of Candriam and its parent company, New York Life Investment Management (NYLI), with its multi-boutique structure of specialist asset managers in traditional and private markets. As of 2025, Chafic’s role has been expanded to support Candriam’s partnerships and initiatives in Southeast Asia and through NYLI’s presence in Australia, Japan, and Korea.
Chafic joined Candriam in September 2006 to develop relations with institutional investors in the Middle East. He began his career in trading and private banking at Lebanon & Gulf Bank with an internship at Merrill Lynch Beirut.
He holds a degree in Economics and a Masters in Financial Markets from the Saint Joseph University (USJ) in Beirut, Lebanon.
